About Our Practice Windber Medical Center was proud to welcome Kim R. Marley MD, FACS to the hospital staff in July of 2005. Dr. Marley retired from the military after 21 years of service. He has come to Windber Medical Center from Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington D.C., where he served as the Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery/Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery. At the Windber Surgery Center, Dr. Marley provides general surgery services with emphasis on minimally invasive surgery to the Windber Medical Center and surrounding communities. Although cholecystectomy is the most common minimally invasive procedure, this technology has been extended to almost all intra-abdominal procedures. These operations include anti-reflux surgery, weight loss surgery, splenectomy, adrenalectomy, colectomy, hernia repairs, appendectomy, and many others. Although these procedures are more advanced, the benefits of the minimally invasive approach can still be realized by performing the operation laparoscopically (less pain, better cosmesis, quicker recovery, etc.). If you have any questions or wish to refer patients, please feel free to contact our office at (814) 467-3037. We are excited to offer these services to our patients. |
